Often misunderstood simply as a vague force, the Holy Spirit is actually the third person of the Trinity, equal in power, glory, and nature to the Father and the Son. Jesus promised that the coming of this Helper—the Spirit of Truth—was for our good, as the Spirit acts as a present guide, comforter, and source of encouragement for every believer. Over two months we will study what it means to live empowered by the Holy Spirit, moving beyond merely knowing about the Spirit to experiencing its active role in our lives, from producing Christlike character to equipping us for good works. We explore topics such as discernment, healing, prophecy and witness. Let’s explore how to walk in step with the Spirit, moving from our own, limited strength to a life transformed by the power of God dwelling within us.

Elementary-aged children will be learning the same texts in children's ministry so that you can discuss the power of the Holy Spitit as a family.
