Our Missions Committee seeks to equip and mobilize our congregation to live out the Great Commandment and Great Commission through compassionate service and evangelism, locally and globally. Our Mission Partners include organization that we support financially, in prayer, and in relational partnership through service and participation in our shared work in Jesus’ name.
Alaska Christian College
Alaska Christian College is a Covenant ministry that offers higher education degrees to Alaskan natives. Located on the Kenai Peninsula in Soldotna, AK, ACC is a vibrant ministry that educates student while sharing the good news of Jesus. We have partnered with ACC for over twenty years, through service projects in the summers and offering scholarships to students. Learn more at www.alaskacc.edu.
Evangelical Covenant Church Global Workers
As an Evangelical Covenant Church, we embrace not just our local mission, but the whole mission of the church worldwide. We are pleased to support numerous Covenant Missionaries: Cathy Campobello (retiring from missions work in Columbia), Steve and Barb Swanson (retiring from missions work in Sweden), Fabio and Johnna Muniz (on home assignment this year), and Dale Lusk (Merge Ministries).

Hindustani Covenant Church
Historically, we have supported Hindustani Covenant Church, a sister denomination in India, via Covenant World Relief. Starting in 2018 we engaged in partnership with a congregation in Chopda: building a church, providing COVID relief and laying the foundation of Hinsdale English Medium School. We pray that this school comes to full fruition as a generational partnership to lift tribal children out of poverty. The school has a present enrollment of 144 students. Continued needs include additional land acquisition, classrooms, staff salaries and supplies, capital equipment and transport vehicles. Thank you for your prayers and financial support.
InterVarsity Christian Fellowship
Joe Thackwell currently serves as the National Director of High School Transition with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. He attended North Park Theological Seminary back in 2005 and 2006, serving as a pastoral intern at Hinsdale Covenant during those years. Joe has been involved in student ministry as a youth pastor and campus minister for over 20 years. He is married to Lisa and has two boys. Joe has a heart for families that are trying to follow Jesus in a complicated, pressure-filled world. If you would like to help support Joe’s ministry, click here.

Love INC
Love Inc. is a local non-profit that resources individuals and households by connecting them with resources that can help them. We partner with them through fundraising, referrals, volunteering at the call-center, and praying for their work.
New Community Outreach
New Community Outreach is a community based, non-profit organization committed to the healing, reconciliation, and building up of Chicago’s greater Bronzeville youth and community through restorative justice. We work collaboratively with residents and organizations of the South Side of Chicago to mitigate the impact and reduce the causes of physical and emotional trauma and raise the opportunities for community equity and individual flourishing.
Building on the ministry of New Community Covenant Church, we lead restorative justice programing at a high school, maintain a community garden, and organize a community-wide back-to-school fair among other neighborhood initiatives.
YoungLives
YoungLives, a ministry of Young Life, is an international, Christian outreach program supporting teenage mothers. Our church serves the ministry locally by working with Chicagoland YoungLives. The ministry provides a safe space for pregnant and parenting teens to receive mentorship, attend clubs, attend summer camp, and build relationships with caring adults. At club, at camp, and through relationships, the moms hear and experience the Good News that Jesus loves them. These young moms are often overlooked, yet Jesus reminds us in Matthew 25:40, “What I’m about to tell you is true. Anything you did for one of the least important of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
